Apart from the dit and dah sounds, I would say that maybe having some sort of a long beep when messages are done playing, or having a distinct sound that alerts a user if they have input an invalid message could be some features you could include.
I guess dits and dahs with the static noise too would be the closest to real HAM radio transmission.
