I think figuring out the correct receiving and sending tone is quite important then we can test it by adjusting the filter bandwidth, side tone frequency and WPM speed. Also, making sure the dit and dah sounds have clear distinction between them can help during the paddle mode and straight key mode.

I would say that for accurate and clear sound transmission and receiving, consistent tone and pitch are very important. Also, having the correct speed or words per minute so that the listener doesn't get confused is essential.

Most important part of the sound is making sure that the morse code sound production is accurate and well spaced. The accuracy of morse code should be the most important part of the sound.
