Why is our internet soo fast around midnight?
The same reason the wifi usually crashes during class registration, less people = better speed.
Probably due to less bandwidth usage overall. Less people using it=works better is typically true.
This is due to less traffic (fewer people, either staff or students) so it tends to be faster around midnight
Honestly probably because there are not as many people working at that point.
I believe that more than half the people accessing it during the day are sleeping or less devices are connected therefore higher speeds.
personally for me, this year the internet connection has been worse than previous years as I'm just getting sub 70Mbps of download and 90Mbps upload speed in the dorms even when I'm connected to the Ethernet.
What there is a time where wifi is fast?
Because there are less people using the internet
Because there are less people using the internet at that time.
