In the global data, some people have hospital admittance dates and some are blank. If it's blank does that mean that they never went to a hospital or that they did go and the date just isn't available? Or is it ambiguous?
I don't know for sure, but my hunch is that blank means "we don't know". Maybe they didn't go to the hospital, or (more likely?) the information just wasn't available/provided by the data sources that they used to find out about those cases.
I would have to agree with Dr. Stonedahl. I did some searching into the github files and even their sources they use for updates but cannot find anything on missing admittance dates...
