I think it would be better to try using git hub if you are able to. That way of the code is updated in some way, it would be easier to update it by pulling the updates from git hub, rather than having to download a new zip and importing it again. Of course, this depends on whether there are plans to update the code again and how much experience you have with git hub that will make this easier or not.
