Can someone explain what the information means that the "id administrator" command for Linux displays? The uid field makes sense but I don't understand what the gid and groups are.
To my knowledge, the command helps display all the security groups that the user or 'administrator' are part of in the system. For Linux, specific groups (group id and group name) have different security permissions.
