Anybody else with a Mac having trouble installing openCV?

Question

As usual with Macs, it seems installing openCV on Mac requires multiple extra steps, including installing a homebrew that has been a real pain. As of right now I haven't been able to figure it out. Just curious if anybody else has and if so how they went about it.

I don't have a mac, but I can try to help sometime... (hopefully someone will figure it out, and share it with all the other Mac users!)
