I'm not sure why anyone would prefer the inferior and outdated thonny IDE. Visual studio is way easier to add extensions and you can code in any language you want.

Thonny is really a beginner friendly IDE. VS provide us more features.

Thonny is very very easy to use and reminds me of the good old days of CSC201, what do you think about Spyder though?
