What piece of art have you created that you are most proud of in your life?

  • A stick-figure drawing of a camel still hanging on your parents' fridge?
  • A photograph that earned a 3rd place prize in a 4H show?
  • A wooden table that you built in your aunt's carpentry shop?
  • A shirt you tie-dyed?
  • A poem or song you composed when you were feeling downhearted in high school?
  • A dance performance you choreographed?

Or do you struggle to answer this question, because you've never considered yourself as an artist? (That's okay too...)

The artworks I am most proud of would be the objects I made in my wood shop class in high school. I am not very talented at drawing objects and these physical objects are something that I was better at. We also made a real house plan blue print type thing in that class that I found to be very interesting and I put a good amount of effort into.

In an art class in high school I created my own stamp by carving a design out of it, and was able to make my own stamped design on many things such as shirts and a portfolio I submitted at the end of the class. I was proud of this because it was chosen to be shown at our schools art show that year.

My most proud artwork would be a ceramic bowl I made in ceramics class in high school. I was proud of what I did because it took me all term to master the wheel, and as a result I was able make a pot that I use to this day. In addition it was fun to stain and decorate my pot.

My proudest artwork was when I managed to copy a bowl of fruit in early fourth grade. It was a final art project and I managed to do good on it.

The art that I am most proud of is a saxophone solo that I composed in high school. I was only a freshman at the time, so I was quite proud that I was able to compose something that sounded at least mostly good.

My art teacher in high school had us create artwork with Apple's pages. He told us it was okay if it was bad because it was really hard to do shadows and gradients, but I created something that I was very proud of. It looked good. And I really like the idea of being able to create digital art.
