For exam? Prolly just go through the study guide and this class seems to ask a lot of questions where memorization is key. So make sure u know ur keywords and stuff.

For projects: Well StackOverflow is a good tool. Using CHATGPT is also a good tool. You need an Idea first and then what u can do is go research on ways you can implement that idea then learn the syntax, implement and debug

We'll go with "no", since I haven't told students to bring them, and since you can store notes in some calculators.

I'll try to keep the numbers/arithmetic manageable without a calculator.

https://lovelace.augustana.edu/q2a/index.php/7278/difference-of-lg-vs-log?show=7279#a7279

Log refers to base 10: if x = log(y) then 10^x = y
Ln refers to base e: if x = ln(y) then e^x = y
Lg refers to base 2: if x = lg(y) then 2^x = y

Hope this helps!

With a HashSet, the
contains(obj)
will check if obj is in the set in O(1) time.
With a TreeSet, it'll be O(log n) time.

However, if you use a List, then contains() will take O(N) time.

What a bogusly efficient algorithm. Wouldn't it be better if you found an algorithm that has a time complexity of O(n^n)?

https://lovelace.augustana.edu/q2a/index.php/3923/efficiency-quiz-question-that-sam-asked-about?show=3924#a3924

The ONE correct answer is O(n). Because the inner loop executes a constant number of times, its execution is not dependent on the value of n. Therefore, the answer is O(n) because of the outer loop. Now in Moodle, the only correct answer accepted is O(n).

As far as your score, if you answered O(n^2), I'm not reducing your score, but you should understand why O(n^2) is not correct.
