Kind of dumb: how to paste text into Git Bash

+13 votes
Feeling slightly dumb here for asking this, but how do we copy and paste text into Git Bash?  I cannot seem to right click on it, and whenever I use Ctrl+V, it just enters ^V into the text box.

Actually, never mind, found out to paste press the icon in the corner, select edit, and press Paste.

Is it weird to "select" your own answer?

Right click the blue header bar and go to Edit>Paste

For future reference for others who like keyboard commands, Linux terminals (which is what git bash is emulating) usually default to Ctrl-Shift-V instead of Ctrl-V. And the Windows 7 terminal is Ctrl-Shift-Insert I think, so maybe that works.
