How do we launch the right emulator?

+6 votes
Okay so in class when I went to go run the app/launch the emulator there was a list of virtual devices already listed that could run our app.
On my personal computer, there is no such list.
Do we have to create our own? I'm assuming there is a way get the same list that I can find on the school computers on mine.  If there is, how do do it?

**I've already installed the recommended SDKs via the SDK manager but I might have missed something**

Yes, you do have to create your own (and make sure that it requires less RAM than gave to HAX when you installed it -- probably 512 MB or smaller?)

There is a little toolbar link in Android Studio to launch the "AVD  (Android Virtual Device) Manager".

Hope that helps!
