Should I commit/push .iml files?

.iml files appear in my commit area and gitignores does not handle them, are they important? I don't remember modifying them.

.iml are more or less configuration files, your IDE will handle these files and create new ones for every workspace. Commiting and pushing are just redundant and adds to weird issues.

Hedwig police are at my door. Apparently they give a hoot.
