Is Color a class or an object?

One of the questions on the practice midterm asks:  

If we write Color c = new Color(0,0,255); then c is an instance of the Color __________

and lists possible answers as method, instance, class, object, constant, or static.

I believe the answer would be class, because although c itself is an object, it would be part of the Color class. This also applies to console being an instance of the Scanner class.
