So I Made It Into The Top 10

+5 votes
I finished the Oregon Trail tonight and I guess I made it into the Top 10. That was pretty cool!

I chose to be a farmer and despite running out of oxen twice, I always kept my ammo pretty stocked and rarely needed repairs. I had money left over and only made the mistake of fording the river once (and losing a LOT of supplies). I managed to have a healthy party of two other members because I hunted so much.

Anyone else score pretty highly? Any strategies or unfortunate events? Should we make a Top Ten for the game we create?

I wonder if those are program generated highscores. I know a lot of games will do like Ralphie, with 10,000 points, Jerry with 5,000, Mike with 2,000, etc.

I am curious if the top ten syncs with the web or has a database somewhere storing the information. Otherwise it should be pretty easy to implement, we will just have to create a place in storage to keep the information once the user quits the game.

I started another thread to add top scores and what your remaining supplies were at the end! Go comment and share with us.
