Have computers generally brought good or evil to our world?

I see some talk about "killer robots" down below, but what about the (arguably more pressing) issue about computers and automation taking away jobs that humans used to do?  Is that good?
I feel for quality control and decrease of error rate robots replacing humans would be beneficial. However not every job held by a human can be replaced my robots or computers. How well could a robot coach a sport? I do not see that going very well.

I would say they have brought about good to this point. However, once our computers become too smart and take over the world with killer robots, I will have to change my answer to evil.

I believe that computers have brought mostly good into our world. Whether it's watching cats meow on YouTube or commenting on a discussion thread for a college course, the reach of computers has allowed for so many connections to be made that would have previously been impossible. While the day may come when we bow to the super computers that control every facet of our lives, for now I think we are headed in the right direction.

Could be looked at in either direction.. but I believe that in the future computers and AI will take many jobs that normally have a human working on. But nonetheless, computers are very helpful in general in our current day and have many functions in any subject area you can think of. But I see a day where killer robots might take the world by storm..
