Lag in Eclipse :(

+8 votes
So my partner and I were working on our project this weekend, and we encountered a significant amount of lag while working in eclipse. We tried several computers, and it occured in each one making us think it was out code. Does anyone have suggestions on what this might be and how me might minimize it?

Its possible you might be running your program many times over. Did you make it so the program terminates when you close it? If you haven't yet, are you doing it manually?

This is a good point.  When you close your window, is the RED STOP BUTTON still active in the console?  If so, then your program is continuing to run (and will bog down the computer, if you leave several of them running).  Ideally, your program should quit running once the window is closed (see, for example, the Dice Lab for how this can be done.)

Maybe because the code was too big and pilled together. Try commenting out each method ( // ) after you're done fixing them to run the next one!
