Having trouble with the lab

+11 votes
I found that I could not continue the lab on a 204 computer after doing the first part on my laptop, so I started it over. Now I'm on Step 2 in the 2nd part where I'm supposed to click the button adding an existing local git repository to this view, but I can't find that button. The Git perspective is also completely different than the first time I attempted it. Can anyone help?

In the upper-right corner of Eclipse there should be a button next to the Java perspective that looks like a grid with a little yellow "+" on it.  You can click this button and select Git to open the Git perspective.  A tab should open on the left half of Eclipse. If you have no repositories there should be an option in the center to add one, otherwise you can click the second button at the top with a green "+" to add an existing local git repository.

Sometimes if Eclipse windows/views get lost/confused, you can go to Window->Perspective->"Reset Perspective"...

Thank you, that worked. Also, I had to redo my project a few times, so I had to rename it TestRepoLast, as well as the Eclipse file.
