Welcome to the CSC Q&A, where you can get help (and share your knowledge) about computer science!

Is there a way to set up notifications for Q&A posts?

It'd be nice if I could get an email when someone from CSC 285 posts a question to the forum, because I'm seeing a lot of these questions hours or days after they're asked.

The Q&A site doesn't have an email subscription option, but here is an RSS feed for the CSC 285 category.  Maybe someone can figure out how to set up an IFTTT task (https://ifttt.com/feed) to turn RSS into email notifications, and share that with the class? (I'm sure it must be possible!)

I poked around and found a way to add the Category "Recent questions and answers in CSC 285 (F16)" to "My Favorites".

At the top of the page, next to the Log-in button (or your name and points score if you're already logged on), there should be a link that reads "My Updates". That has instructions on how to add "Recent questions and answers in CSC 285 (F16)" to your favorites.

I don't know if that will notify us of updates, especially after reading Dr. Stonedahl's comment. But it's worth a shot! I hope that helps in some way.
